Description
Robert Half is looking to grow our DevOps team by adding an experienced and well-rounded engineer. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with managing Linux systems as well as writing code. Ideally, looking for someone with Azure. As a member of a highly efficient team, the ideal candidate will be able to self-manage, taking a task either individually or as part of the team, and see it through to completion. The DevOps team is constantly striving to stay current with the latest technologies. We use GIT for storing and managing code.
Specific responsibilities include:
In this role, you will act as a lead for the broader automation efforts taken on by our team and will help in defining standards and best practices that the rest of the team will follow as we take on work individually or in a group setting.
The role is varied in scope and technology and will entail the development of innovative solutions in the cloud. Initiatives will include cloud migration projects, implementing DevOps technologies (CI/CD pipelines, config management, Test Driven Development, etc.)
Partner with Shared Services Architecture group members to define and develop automation roadmaps
Provide effective knowledge transfer including documentation and cross-training to relevant operational team personnel to ensure team capabilities.
Participate in development workstreams, from design through testing and deployment.
Working within an Agile Project Management methodology as part of an automation focused scrum team.
With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and setting a realistic schedule for development.
Requirements
Deep experience with PowerShell, and other languages are a plus!
Fluency in operating in a Git environment for code management
Azure DevOps, including CI/CD Pipelines
Azure Functions
Experience with Microsoft Orchestrator and migrating runbooks to other automation platforms such as Azure Automation
