Description:To design, develop, machine, assemble & test new and existing OTS products to meet customer’s specific needs, requirements for special orders, and engineering projects Create a cost analysis for proposed special orders and determine lead time for the build or modification Determine whether a customer’s design or functionality request is possible Create and / or provide technical drawings for special orders and fixtures when requested Determine and source for parts and materials needed for special builds Generate schematics, bill of materials, machine and assembly drawings, labels, artwork, and instructions when applicable Machine / fabricate any necessary custom parts using manual mill, lathe, band saw, and drill press. Ensure product quality, reliability, and safety in all aspects of production from engineering to assembly. Layout, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.Skills:Electronics, Troubleshooting, test equipment, schematics, circuit board, testing, inspection, troubleshoot, oscilloscopes, multimeterTop Skills Details:Electronics,Troubleshooting,test equipmentAdditional Skills & Qualifications:EDUCATION 5 years of experience as an engineering technician or 0-1 years of experience and a BSEE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Must be able to read and understand schematics. Must have the ability to troubleshoot (preferably at the component level) Must be able to test, inspect, and troubleshoot electronic circuitries by the use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and digital multi-meter. Must have electronics knowledge and experience ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Customer service and communication skills. Ability to solder and use hand tools. Have the ability to machine with manual machines. Ability to create design documentation and work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Outlook and Excel.
