Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join a well-renowned medical device company in Irvine. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in purchasing and planning within a regulated industry, demonstrating expertise in inventory management and supplier relationships. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing activities and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal product availability.
Collaborate with the sourcing team to engage with existing suppliers and address any procurement needs.
Utilize ERP systems to analyze and forecast product demand, focusing on lead times exceeding one year.
Interpret and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), working closely with mechanical and R&D engineers.
Oversee the quality check process for raw materials, coordinating with external quality assurance teams.
Support planning processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Maintain effective communication with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with operational goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Buyer/Planner role within a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred).
Strong purchasing and planning skills, with a proven track record of supplier management.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and intermediate formulas.
Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SAGE is a plus).
Knowledge of inventory management practices and lead time forecasting.
Experience with raw materials and an understanding of international clearance processes is a plus.

Work Schedule:
Standard hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for earlier or later start times as needed.
This is a 100% onsite position, with minimal overtime expected.
