Robert Half has partnered with a rapidly growing company based in Santa Barbara, CA looking for an organized and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team.The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for composing, managing, and analyzing all accounting data and to offer premium quality financial information to the senior management. This position will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records as needed.
Analyze and reconcile bank statements, invoices and manage debt activity.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions.
Assist in preparing budget forecasting and financial reports.
Work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Adhere to federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk.
Familiarity with bookkeeping, basic accounting procedures and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
Competency in MS Office, especially in Excel, databases and accounting software.
Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
