Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Based out of the Santa Barbara, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
- Conduct full-cycle A/P
- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Qualifications:
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Journal entries experience preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of expense reports
- Strong familiarity with Income Statements
- Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
