We are a small tax and accounting firm in Santa Ynez Valley, located in a beautiful office in Solvang. We are looking for a positive & motivated individual to join our tax team and work family. Our company has been in business for over 10 years - we are continually growing & looking for an individual who wants to grow with us. We are currently looking for full-time seasonal work with part-time work in the slower months.
Job Duties:
- Preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership and LLC tax returns (can range from simple to complex)
- Bookkeeping - Record all transactions to the ledger in QuickBooks Online or QB Desktop
- Reconcile general ledger, journal entries, and bank statements
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Communication with account manager and/or clients in order to obtain any missing information
- Assist with tax notices, making tax payments, state tax filings, and/or other tax matters that may present themselves.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, or finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping
- Experience with Lacerte tax software
- Experience with QB Online and desktop
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Adobe
