Summary of Job Details
Under the guidance of the CDC-2 Lead, the CDC 2- Teacher collaborates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in the Early Childhood Care and Education Services (ECCES) as prescribed by the National Association of the Education of Young Children. The CDC 2- Teacher shares the responsibility with the CDC 2-Lead to set up the physical (indoor and outdoor)environment to meet changing needs, maintains a safe, clean, and pleasant environment, models and instructs other adults in best practice, and provides information to parents regarding their children as well as general child development information. CDC 2- Teacher is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies; and works cooperatively and collegially with other staff members of the Early Childhood Care and Education Services Department.
Required Qualifications
Minimum completion of 6 ECE units working towards 12 core ECE units (based on necessary requirements to qualify for a Child Development Permit through the CA Commission on Teaching Credentialing
Special Conditions of Employment
Satisfactory criminal history background check
Mandated Child Abuse Reporter
Campus Security Authority
Acceptable health screening to include negative TB results (valid within 1 year of date of hire), proof of required immunizations
Must possess valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification prior to start date
Completion of required CA Mandated Reporting in accordance with Title 22
