Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Government sector, located in Santa Barbara, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Handle inbound customer calls and inquiries in a professional and timely manner Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and providing necessary information Accurately enter customer data and order entry into the system Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for email correspondence and data management Schedule appointments as necessary, ensuring smooth operations Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently Balance call center customer service responsibilities with other tasks Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the call center.Requirements Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a government setting Demonstrated ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for data entry and management Ability to provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer queries and complaints effectively Experience in call center customer service is desirable Strong written communication skills for email correspondence Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars efficiently Experience in order entry, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures or processes quickly Willingness to continually learn and improve skills relevant to the role.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
