Convivo Restaurant and Bar is currently seeking an experienced full-time General Manager to join our talented and enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service as well as strong organization, leadership and computer skills. They will embody teamwork, positive energy, and professionalism. Convivo is a seasonal "Nomad Italian" restaurant created by famed restaurateur Larry Mindel and Chef/Owner Peter McNee, located in the Four Diamond Santa Barbara Inn directly across from East Beach with beautiful ocean views. Included in the “Top 52 Places to Visit” by the New York Times, Convivo has become one of the top dining destinations in Santa Barbara.

Specific Work Experience / Job Requirements:

3+ years of experience in restaurant management.

An ever-present focus on hospitality.

Collaboration with the Executive Team to ensure operations are aligned with Convivo’s core values

Recruitment, selection, orientation, training, scheduling, and coaching of restaurant managers and staff.

Thorough knowledge of the menus and the ability to communicate the points of distinction to service staff, hotel staff, guests and visiting media.

Ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience (food/service/facility)

Leadership of Bar, Cocktail and Wine programs.

Directly supervise the Event Coordinator and catering department.

Monthly Restaurant P&L and budget adherence.

Payroll processing and monthly Inventory.

Knowledge of cash handling controls.

Employee and customer engagement, making sure each guest feels welcome whether they are regulars, locals or visiting tourists.

Local marketing efforts, community involvement, and networking.

Ensure facility and equipment are safe and clean.

Communicate policies and procedures to team members.

Ensure food safety; compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Toast POS, TripleSeat, Microsoft Office and experience managing online reservation systems are desirable.

Team player who can support management in developing a thoughtful and caring staff.

Strong sense of urgency and good direct communication skills are important.

Experience resolving conflicts rapidly with professionalism and fairness.

Must have schedule flexibility: nights, weekend and Holiday are required.

Able work on your feet for long periods of time, be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.

Reports to Managing Partner and has regular meeting with other Partners.

Familiarity with Back Office (RASI) or other restaurant accounting platform
