About the Role
Busy, full-service restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara seeks a hands-on, systems-driven Kitchen Manager. This isn’t a creative chef role — it’s for someone who thrives on organization, cost control, team leadership, and getting their hands dirty on the line when needed.
What You’ll Do
Oversee kitchen operations, prep, and ordering
Hit food & labor cost targets
Lead, train, and schedule a bilingual team
Work any station when needed
Enforce portion control, plate consistency, and cleanliness
Maintain equipment & ensure food safety compliance
Track inventory, reduce waste, and report on performance
Who You Are
3+ years managing in high-volume kitchens
Fluent or proficient in English & Spanish
Comfortable jumping into prep or line work
Organized, accountable, and proactive
ServSafe Certified
Open availability including nights & weekends
