Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and kitchen management, with a strong background in all things seafood. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a diverse kitchen staff and to communicate with wait staff while maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.

Manage food inventory, including ordering, storage, and waste control to optimize resources.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.

Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support to enhance their culinary skills and performance.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during events and regular dining hours.

Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency across all dishes.

Lead by example in cooking techniques, presentation, and customer service excellence.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Chef in a seafood restaurant is essential.

Strong background in menu planning, food service management, and kitchen management required.

Experience in supervising staff within a culinary environment is preferred.

Knowledge of inventory management practices, including ordering and stock control.

Familiarity with dietary department operations and food handling regulations is a plus.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food industry is desirable.
