Houseperson (Part-Time) | Palihouse Santa Barbara House Person | Palihouse Santa BarbaraWHO WILL LOVE THIS POSITION?An individual who likes being active all day and not in an office environmentAn independent worker can follow a task lists with minimal supervisionAn individual who is detailed oriented and enjoys enhancing the guest experience by ensuring the property interior and exterior areas are in excellent conditionPOSITION PROFILE:The House Person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public areas, building maintenance and managing the daily linen inventory.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine in all common areasClean rooms, hallways and restroomsWashes walls and ceiling, moves furniture’s and turn mattressSweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors in all common areasDusts and polishes metalwork in all common areasCollects soiled linenReceived linen suppliesRemoves trash collected by room attendantsWalk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect trash or soild linenRefill the par stock of linen on each floorDeliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requestsPerform duties of housekeeping when necessarySort linen, stock housekeeping closetsRefill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.Help the housekeeping with the heavy liftingClean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating proceduresAssist housekeeping with placing roll-ways beds, extra bed etc.Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to the supervisorRespond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleaguesMust be completely flexible with scheduling and be open to varied schedules every week based on hotel occupanciesFollow uniform guidelinePerform any other reasonable duties as required by managementREQUIREMENTS:Skills/knowledge required:Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitalityStrong leadership skills and is able to build a cohesive team to achieve the highest quality of customer serviceDisplays a strong hands-on approachThinks critically and objectivelyGuest service orientedStrong knowledge of cleaning productsQualification Standards:Education: High school certificate or equivalentGrooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)Palisociety is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
