We are looking for cooks to assist the executive chef in food preparation as well as to keep the kitchen clean and operating at its best. These positions are responsible for ensuring a clean kitchen, food preparation and service.
Shifts are all part time, daytime and are needed Monday-Friday with exact times to be discussed. No late nights.
Positions will start September 25
Responsibilities:
Assist with supervising the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Set up and stock all stations with all necessary items
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in a high quality and in a timely fashion
Ensure all food is stored to meet strict health and hygiene standards
Keep the kitchen and all food service areas clean and in compliance with health and safety standards including washing dishes and general cleaning
Assist Executive chef in cooking and serving all meals
Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens and grills
Requirements:ยท
Previous experience as a Cook or Assistant Chef
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Positive attitude & great communication skills
Works well under pressure and with a sense of urgency
California serve safe certificate.
Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs occasionally and work on your feet for long periods of time.
