Shift Supervisor

Restaurant Shift Supervisors are responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing the overall operations and team members during a designated shift. Shift Supervisors ensure exceptional customer service, enforce restaurant policies and procedures, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Physical Requirements Necessary for the Position:

Shift Supervisors will regularly stand, walk, talk, carry, bend, stoop, turn and lift more than thirty-five (35) pounds. Shift Supervisors will also view a computer monitor and type/write. Candidate must be able to work on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Job Functions:

On a day-to-day basis Shift Supervisors are responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of restaurant staff during a shift. Assigning tasks and responsibilities to staff and ensure they are completed efficiently

Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally

Maintains highest standard of customer service in unit by all team members.

Communicate and follow-up on unit objectives with all staff through to completion.

Maintain highest quality standards to ensure a safe working environment including maintaining HAACP, Board of Health protocols in everyday duties for all employees.

Develop other staff to effectively manage sales, costs, quality, and people basics.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Micros POS or similar.

Manage employee relations issues to ensure a harmonious work environment for all staff.

Support General Manager in effectively communicating issues, concerns, and special needs/projects and day to day business of the unit.

Fill in wherever necessary.

Oversee and assist in training new team members on restaurant procedures, menu items, and customer service standards

Prepare shift reports documenting sales, transactions, and any incidents that occurred during the shift

Communicate with administrative staff and General Manager shift performance, concerns, and recommendations

Ensure cash handling procedures are followed accurately by all staff

Requirements:

Previous experience in a restaurant

Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role preferred

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong understanding of restaurant operations and industry best practices

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

A positive attitude and a passion for guest service.

Pay:

$22-25 / hour depending on experience
