General Expectations:
Primary role is to ensure the proper organization and appearance of the store. Main daily tasks include inventory supervision, shipping and receiving wine, stocking shelves, deliveries and processing wine orders. Individual must possess strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to multitask on a daily basis. Open to feedback, committed to continuous improvement and passionate about their quality of work. Work as a team player to efficiently complete job tasks and have a proactive approach to the position.
Job Responsibilities:
-Maintain store appearance, supplies and related inventory needs
-Stocking and accurately tagging wine/liquor and accessories
-Daily and weekly shipping
Responsible for:
-Cleanliness of store inventory
-Handling and stocking activities
-Receiving wines into the point of sale
Customer service and sales:
-Promotes sales by assisting customers with suggestions and recommendations of wine
-Ringing up customer transactions on the point of sale
-Answering phones and responding to customer emails
Qualifications:
-Education: College Degree preferred
-Licenses: Driver's License
-Must be 21 years of age; Must have a valid driver’s license under the laws of the State of California, acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance
Specialized Work Experience:
-Prior retail/customer service experience required. Knowledge of the wine products & wine industry required
Other:
-Detail oriented. Strong communication skills
-Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, POS
-Ability to absorb new processes and adapt quickly to change. Multi-tasking skills
-Organized work habits. Proactive mentality. Friendly and helpful customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
-Standing, bending, twisting and/or stooping on a regular basis.
-Lift 25-50 lbs and be able to use retail-type ladders.
-Reaching and/or lifting overhead, grasping/grabbing with hands on a regular basis.
