Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Farm Maintenance Technician to support our operations by maintaining and repairing farm facilities and equipment. This role is critical to ensuring smooth and efficient operations across our greenhouses, hoop houses, and outdoor farming areas. The Farm Maintenance Technician will work closely under the direction of the Operations Manager and must be willing to learn and adapt to the needs of the business. We sell and ship cut flowers that we grow across five different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on farm facilities, greenhouses, hoop houses, and outdoor structures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, vehicles, and other farming equipment.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and construction equipment for various repair and improvement projects.
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are safe, functional, and meet operational needs.
- Assist with general upkeep of farm infrastructure across five locations.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
- Show a willingness to learn new skills and farming techniques as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and construction equipment.
- Experience with tractor and vehicle maintenance, including preventive care.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with agricultural operations is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment:
This role involves both outdoor and indoor work in a farming environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Climb and work on the roofs of structures such as greenhouses and hoop houses.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold and rain
