Art From Scrap (AFS) is a retail store located in downtown Santa Barbara. The store operates by accepting donations from businesses and homes in our community, and providing a space for patrons to discover these unique finds and treasures that would otherwise be sent to the landfill. Art From Scrap is a program of Explore Ecology, a non-profit providing environmental education to the Santa Barbara County community.
The AFS Cashier & Store Associate’s primary role is to operate the cash register, help maintain the store and provide a smooth and pleasant experience for customers.
Main duties include:
Assisting customers on the floor, operating the cash register, organizing and maintaining the store retail space, and helping with opening and closing tasks when relevant.
