Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fence Installer/Carpenter to join our team. As a teammate, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of fences, and outdoor projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of fences, including wood, vinyl, chain-link, and metal fences.
- Must be able to cary large quantities of lumber and various materials in rough conditions.
- Measure and mark the fence line accurately, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to property boundaries.
- Dig post holes using hand tools or power equipment, ensuring appropriate depth and spacing.
- Install fence posts, rails, panels, and gates securely and in accordance with industry standards.
- Cut, shape, and fit materials to create custom fence designs as per customer requirements.
- Apply finishes, such as paint or stain, to enhance the appearance and durability of the fence.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide recommendations on suitable fence materials and designs.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during installation.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and address any necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fence installer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of different types of fences, materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for fence installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (own truck a plus).
