Currently seeking a general laborer/delivery driver for our general engineering construction company. Desired candidates will have experience in, or willingness to learn, all aspects of grading and underground construction (raking, shoveling, site clean up, material pick up, grade checking). MUST HAVE A CLEAN DMV RECORD AND BE PROFICIENT WITH CELL PHONE & USE OF PHONE APPLICATIONS.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a General Laborer/Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks. This may include keeping the worksite clean through the collection of trash, operating power tools, setting up temporary structures, or other necessary tasks. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Position includes delivery of jobsite materials (pipe/conduit, sand, base, etc.) and export of trash to local recycling and trash yards.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products
Provide assistance to onsite equipment operators
Transport materials and equipment from one location to another
Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment
Set up cones and warning signs to increase visibility
Rake/Lute, shovel, and plate tamper
Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor
Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
Qualifications
Clean drivers license (A MUST - DO NOT APPLY IF THIS QUALIFICATION IS NOT MET)
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
Strong attention to detail
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Cell phone with the ability to utilize applications required for work
