Senior Software Validation Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

At NVIDIA, we lead the charge in advancing ADAS technologies through our NVIDIA DRIVE platform. As we continue to grow, we are actively seeking an AV Software Validation Engineer with expertise in certification and NCAP rating testing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and implementation of tests, including those aligned with NCAP standards, utilizing our specialized AB Dynamics controllable soft targets and robotic equipment. Your duties will involve ensuring the accurate functioning of testing equipment, crafting customized scenarios to fulfill specific requirements, and upholding the maintenance of all testing apparatus. Our array of robots and dummies serves as vital components in assessing the efficiency of ADAS features.What you'll be doing:

Joining the AV testing team to handle end-to-end software testing for autonomous driving, collaborating with team members across the NVIDIA Automotive platform.

Operating and maintaining vehicle and NCAP testing equipment, including ABD robotic platforms, OxTS GT instrumentation, and more.

Designing test cases based on requirements and designing tests for proving grounds and public road scenarios to ensure comprehensive metric and coverage testing for NVIDIA ADAS Software features like AEB, LSS, BSM, etc.

Using testing equipment to support development, validation, certification, and rating of autonomous driving functionality and active safety features.

Preparing and operating testing technologies in coordination with engineering teams, readying equipment and vehicles for testing.

Reviewing product requirements, developing test matrices, and establishing critical metrics.

Troubleshooting issues, collaborating with engineers to identify root causes, and contributing to QA process improvements.

What we need to see:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or have a technical degree.

5+ years of work experience.

Proven work record of NCAP testing for Active Safety features/functions and operating and maintaining NCAP equipment's

Demonstrate New Car Assessment Program and ADAS knowledge with excellent test process/flow with software debugging skills in Linux/QNX environments.

Self-motivated to learn new things and a passion for embracing technology.

Strong leadership & interpersonal skills are indispensable.

Ability to foster positive relationships with 3rd party proving grounds, engineering and test teams, and external governing agencies.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience with AB Dynamics test equipment's.

Knowledge of regulatory and rating test protocols for ADAS functions.

Excels in debugging and solving.

Strong reciprocal and interpersonal skills, specifically a confirmed ability to successfully guide and influence within a dynamic work environment.

The base salary range is 118,400 USD - 224,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/benefits/) .
