We are seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Software Engineer to join our team to help design and develop the next generation of our back-end application software. The ideal candidate would have experience with backend technologies to develop, ship, and maintain applications, web services and microservices in a large-scale, distributed environment such as AWS.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Product Manager, Technical Architects and Software Engineers to design and deliver application to customers
  • Design and build scalable and reusable backend components that can be used in multiple backend applications.
  • Work closely with Technical Operations, Application Support and Site Monitoring teams to proactively monitor and maintain applications.
  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering Teams to understand & document product behavior, solve and triage software and system issues
  • Improve software quality by engaging in activities such as writing unit and integration tests, reviewing test plans and documenting test cases.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of overall software development experience with most of it in hands-on development in Java, Spring, Hibernate, ReST, SQL, and recent experience with Angular/React/Core JavaScript tech stack
  • Demonstrate validated experience in Java, ReSTful APIs & design, Spring, object- oriented design, Hibernate and SQL to build reliable RESTful services with microservices architecture using AWS technologies
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (like AWS) and operations – continuous integration, DevOps etc. will be an added advantage
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting using Splunk
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Junit ‘
  • Experience with databases and designing schemas
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM or a similar software development life cycle process
