Job Summary:In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for ensuring all supplies are available in the appropriate clinical/non-clinical location at time of case by performing moderately complex transactions/procedures independently; independently implementing procedures to ensure ongoing availability of products; maintaining inventory databases and libraries independently; preparing and analyzing reports on the usage and inventory management; ensuring the effective maintenance of inventory management databases and systems by implementing moderately complex system changes independently; resolving moderately complex problems for users; drafting curriculum and course content for training new system users; implementing appropriate changes or enhancements in Information Technology inventory systems independently; using and maintaining technical systems and processes independently, by interpreting relevant regulations and standards to ensure compliance; and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations by monitoring the maintenance, calibration, temperature and humidity records independently.Essential Responsibilities:

Performs asset accounting tasks by: performing support tasks to guide transfers and disposals, independently; maintaining records of dispositions in the accounting system independently; implementing policies and procedures to achieve accountability for the misuse of assets independently; and providing ideas and recommending cost reduction opportunities.

Ensures ongoing quality customer services by: resolving moderately complex customer issues pertaining to vendors/suppliers reporting, billing, and merchandise independently; resolving moderately complex backorder problems, delivery delays, repairs, customer concerns, and returns; coordinating with facility departments to return product for credit or exchange and recalls independently; and preparing reports (e.g., key metrics, cost and daily analysis) to customers independently.

Ensures adequate levels of inventory are maintained by: resolving moderately complex problems in the receipt and distribution of inventory, and administering transactions and requests for supplies, equipment, independently; conducting quantitative/qualitative analyses to forecast demand to minimize obsolescence or expiration independently; applying strategies for maintaining automated inventory and ordering systems to support moderately complex inventory reconciliation; confirming moderately complex reorder levels are updated, maintained, and adhered to so that proper product rotation remains valid, and inventory levels are accurate; and working collaboratively with contacts internal and external to the organization to maintain the inventory control system (e.g., ensure accuracy of product line, proper level of stock, rotation of product, cleanliness of product/carts).

Maintains and improves supply chain and operations by: executing moderately complex activities (i.e., shipping logistics, carrier, and inventory system evaluation) to optimize, maintain, and transform current processes for increased efficiency; developing and executing research plans to identify new/existing business operating models according to supply chain future state functional and technical design; and, with contacts internal and external to the organization, executing and monitoring processes to determine end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and logistics.

Exercises purchasing strategy that is consistent with the overall national sourcing strategy by: facilitating moderately complex purchase requests and sourcing substitute items if needed immediately by requesting department; providing recommendations for purchase standardization, quality, amounts, or equivalency; resolving moderately complex purchase-related problems and implementing cost savings procedures, independently; developing, recommending order quantities, and conducting product evaluation and trials, independently; and analyzing enterprise supply usage data, contract data, and evidence-based data to select new products and equipment independently.

Complies with state and federal regulations, and company policy/procedures pertaining to purchasing, inventory management, and distribution by: proposing and applying best standards, practices, and enforcing relevant guidelines (e.g., parking and shuttle); soliciting and analyzing quotations for new stock and non-standard items, and fulfilling contracts to ensure compliance independently; producing non-standard reports for compliance monitoring (e.g., Joint commission, Sarbanes-Oxley [SOX]) and audits independently; proposing and implementing corrective action, and resolving deficiencies independently as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy; and administering programs of information, organizing data, training, education for managers/product users on standards programs, product selection, and expected compliance independently.

Manages suppliers/vendors performance and relationships by: resolving, identifying, and escalating problems with suppliers/vendors, ensuring they comply with policies, and regulations, independently; collaborating with others to support the onboarding of suppliers/vendors, supporting the administration of standard contract negotiations, and serves as a point of contact and escalation for suppliers/vendors, independently; conducting corrective actions based on interpreting needs identified from audits independently; resolving moderately complex suppliers/vendor issues; and facilitating business reviews to ensure suppliers/vendors meet operational and cost targets independently.

Provides technical analysis and reporting services for others by: executing analyses and reviewing results on utilization, quality, inventory levels, and courier routes for moderately complex projects; pulling data from service surveys tools to assess satisfaction levels and develop quality improvement procedures, independently; utilizing tools, techniques, and assumptions to ensure moderately complex analyses are appropriate to support operational and business decisions; and preparing reports in response to business needs for selected departments documenting moderately complex analytical results.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Material Management, Operations Research, or related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiations, material management, logistics, finance, or a directly related field OR Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Materials and Inventory Control/Management, Logistics, Finance, Distribution, or a directly related field.
