Line Cook

Labor Finders is looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Line cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients that serve food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Follow recipes consistently, adjust based on customer requests, communicate with waitstaff, and prepare garnished to make an attractive presentation for each meal.
Responsibilities
Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Answer, report and follow all operational instructions.
Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
Bake, grill, steam and boil fish, meats, poultry, produce and other foods.
Clean up the station and take care of leftover food including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
Stock inventory appropriately.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Skills
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with industry's best practices
Restaurant experience: 3 years
Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
