Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and a hazmat physical. Valid drivers license required with clean driving record. Company insurance approval on drivers license must be received. Must pass a basic Math & English test.
High School Diploma or equivalent w/2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in the field or in a related area. Must be able to perform heavy lifting and have NO PROBLEMS with HEIGHTS. Twelve (12) hour shifts. Must obtain Class B drivers license within 60 days.
RIGHAND
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
The Rig Hand works under the direction of the Rig Operator. This individual is part of a crew that is responsible for the safe maintenance and day to day operation of the rigs.
Duties include but are not limited to
Bolt together pump and engine parts.
Unscrew or tighten pipes, casing, tubing, and pump rods, using hand and power wrenches and tongs.
Move pipes to and from trucks, using truck winches and motorized lifts, or by hand.
Keep pipe deck and main deck areas clean and tidy.
Walk flow lines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and by making visual inspections, and repair the leaks.
Guide cranes to move loads about decks.
Dig drainage ditches around wells and storage tanks.
Clean up spilled oil by bailing it into barrels.
Dismantle and repair oil field machinery, boilers, and steam engine parts, using hand tools and power tools.
Supply equipment to rig floors as requested, and provide assistance to roughnecks.
Cut down and remove trees and brush to clear drill sites, to reduce fire hazards, and to make way for roads to sites.
Dig holes, set forms, and mix and pour concrete into forms to make foundations for wood or steel derricks.
Loads and off-loads pipe and assists in rig movement
Responds to emergency situations including hydrogen sulfide detection and major mechanical or structural failures
Bolt or nail together wood or steel framework to erect derricks

RIG OPERATOR
Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening. Must pass a hazmat physical. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must pass a basic Math & English test. Must also receive insurance approval on drivers license. May require a high school diploma or equivalent w/2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have NO PROBLEMS with HEIGHTS be able to perform heavy lifting and work 12 hour shifts. Must obtain Class B drivers license within 60 days.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
All aspects of Rig Hand with additional responsibilities. The Rig Operator works under the direction of the Tool Pusher and/or Rig Supervisor. This individual is part of a crew that is responsible for the safe maintenance and day to day operation of the rigs
Requires CPR/First Aid training
Hazwoper Trained
Knowledge of how pumping units run
Diagnose well problems
Knowledge of working derricks and drill floor
Perform service maintenance on rigs
Responsible for maintaining fluid pumps and circulation system
Responsible for maintenance and operation of the rig and general equipment maintenance
Checks snub lines, pull lines, shackles and cable clamps to verify condition
Checks dies in slips and tongs and all safety and riding belts to verify condition
