Job Title: Entry-Level EHS Specialist, 40 hrs/week
Candidate Qualifications:
- Science Degree - Environmental Studies, Physical Science, Chemistry, etc.
- Previous working knowledge in environmental and/or safety-related areas is preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented, self motivated individual, willing to take ownership of assigned tasks and project areas
Job Description:
- Assist as needed with day to day environmental and safety-related tasks and longer-term projects.
- Specific tasks/projects will include assistance with monitoring and recordkeeping requirements for all environmental media
- Work will include varying degrees of involvement in the following regulatory areas: Air (APCD), Storm Water, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, Safety (Cal/OSHA)
- Work environment will be a mix of office and outside tasks in a refinery environment
- Outside tasks may include moderate physical activity and walking (no heavy lifting)
