Our fun, fast-paced, rapidly growing customer-focused retail business in downtown Lompoc needs to fill a dynamic office manager/operations manager role, which also includes some front-facing customer service.
The position will be perfect for a motivated individual who loves sinking their teeth into their work, is highly organized, is willing and able to take on a wide variety of tasks, and enjoys putting their critical-thinking skills to work in resolving the myriad challenges which arise in the day-to-day operation of any small business. The ideal candidate is inspired to learn continually and is highly adaptable; this would probably not be a great fit for someone who is most comfortable with a detailed employee manual and a highly codified role.
Initially, the role will consist of 24-32 hours per week, and it will very likely evolve into a full-time position. While this is an on-site, non-remote role, great flexibility exists with regards to work schedule: we all have lives, and while work is important, maintaining space for family, friends, and having fun is also fundamental to happiness.
Specific responsibilities include but are by no means limited to receiving, reconciling, and managing inventory; processing warranty requests; interfacing with vendors; interacting with customers; processing accounts receivable and payable; facilitating smooth business operations; and accepting special projects as necessary.
The successful candidate will be outgoing, versatile, motivated, detail-oriented, articulate, and friendly. Command of English (both written and verbal) is essential and knowledge of Spanish is very helpful, though not required. A sense of humor is vital.
Salary is dependent on experience. We understand that your time and experience are valuable assets, and we believe in compensating fairly.
