Front-end Software Engineer
The RAND Corporation seeks a Front-end Software Engineer to join RAND's Research Programming Group. The RAND Corporation is a public policy think tank tackling a wide range of issues spanning health care, education and labor, social and economic wellbeing, national security, and military manpower. The Research Programming Group supports researchers on project teams to build data models, simulations, and web applications enabling our institutional goal of objective and impactful research and analysis.
Responsibilities
As a Front-end Software Engineer, you would be working on a number of small teams with research staff and other engineers to build interactive single-page React applications for a variety of use cases including research tools, interactive models, and data visualization. This position requires a self-motivated individual looking to take ownership of designing and implementing intuitive, reusable components and working with the project team to deliver innovative solutions to difficult problems. Interest in experimenting with new tools, understanding the underlying research needs, and advocating for industry best-practices are all highly desired for this position.
