Description We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Entry Level Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Monica. This is a temporary position with the potential for a permanent role based on performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be comfortable working with financial software such as NetSuite and Excel.Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate and send customer invoices.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection.
Journal Entries:
Prepare accurate and timely journal entries.
Maintain documentation for all journal entries.
Expense Reports:
Review and process employee expense reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies.
Financial Statements:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
