Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. The selected candidate will be instrumental in assisting with general ledger tasks, month-end close activities, and account reconciliations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, providing a dynamic work environment in the accounting industry.Responsibilities: Assist with general ledger tasks, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Participate in month-end close procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and timeliness Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring all financial information is recorded correctly Conduct account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Review trial balances, ensuring all accounts are balanced and accurate Utilize various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient and accurate accounting tasks Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in accounting or a related role Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Proficiency in conducting bank reconciliations Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Experience in preparing journal entries Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
