Description We are in the process of recruiting a Tax Manager for our team located in SANTA ROSA, California, 95403, United States. The individual in this role will be tasked with overseeing tax reporting, planning, and compliance within our establishment. As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to ensure the completion of accurate tax returns, manage internal accounting systems, and maintain strong relationships with our clients. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our processes and procedures within the tax planning sector.Responsibilities Supervise the completion of accurate tax returns to minimize the organization's tax obligations. Stay updated with federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure compliance. Represent clients during IRS, State or other audits. Oversee the firm’s internal accounting systems and assist with client accounting needs. Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures within the tax department. Research and resolve tax and accounting issues that may affect our firm. Review completed tax forms and provide recommendations to junior team members when needed. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service. Supervise tax planning and compliance functions within the organization. Use skills like CPA, Annual Tax, Annual Income Tax Provision, Income Tax Accounting, Tax Accounting, Tax Audits, Income Tax Audits, Tax Authorities to perform effectively in the role. Requirements Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred, but not required, will consider EAs or 7+ years of experience Proven experience in Annual Tax and Annual Income Tax Provision Solid understanding of Income Tax Accounting and Tax Accounting Demonstrated experience in managing Tax Audits and Income Tax Audits Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with Tax Authorities Proficiency in using tax software and other relevant digital tools Strong analytical skills to interpret tax data and financial reports Excellent leadership skills and team management experience Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. This is a client facing role and will have in-person meetings.
