Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Business Operations Specialist to join our team in Tukwila, WA; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Seal Beach, CA; North Charleston, SC; Seattle, WA; Ridley Park, PA; Oklahoma City, OK; Huntsville, AL; Huntington Beach, CA; or Chicago, IL.This role will work closely within Boeing Intellectual Property (BIP) and Information Governance to ensure they have the business data and metrics necessary to provide strategic intellectual property support. This position will also manage the day-to-day operations of the Inventor Award program. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to analyze and communicate complex information, create and track meaningful metrics for organizational health, and maintain content integrity for key databases. This candidate should also be able to collaborate effectively and lead projects in a heavily matrixed environment. This position reports to the Manager, Information Governance and will also receive specific direction from Intellectual Property (IP) Directors.General work assignments may include:

Development and integration of programs, plans, and processes to meet business goals

Support the coordination and clarify analysis with business partners to validate results

Collect, organize and provide data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance

Ensure follow up action for issue resolution

To be successful in this role you will need:

Operational skills including project management skills, analytical skills, critical thinking, confidence, and cross functional relationship building

Experience in multiple areas including operations, project management, intellectual property, law, business, engineering

Skill at managing multiple tasks and balancing varied workload simultaneously and effectivelyAbility to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the Inventor Award Program

Gather data, determine necessary actions, and coordinate cross-functionally with various stakeholders

Shape and manage business reports/metrics including invention disclosure/patent reports, common BIP licensing metrics, including regular updates and readiness, BIP licensing metrics specific to client-facing teams

Support managing Innovation Awards end-to-end. Including overseeing all aspects of communication, award nomination/review/selections, event planning, award distribution, etc.

Support all aspects of the IP Stewardship Award and World IP Day event, along with any other recognition/awareness activities sponsored by Boeing Intellectual Property

Maintain BIP website content and provide support to teams with content updates as needed.

Additional projects and responsibilities as opportunities become available

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in project management and/or business operations

5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Excellent written and verbal skills communication skills

Experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree or higher

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Analytics skills

Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
