As an Account Clerk II, some of your duties will be:
Conducting quality assurance checks on participant accounts
Performing financial assessments to determine eligibility for payment assistance.
Tracking and resolving discrepancies using Excel, notifying relevant staff, and recommending procedural solutions
Performing financial assessments and verifying compliance with all relevant regulations
Assisting with collection activities for past-due accounts and processing payments
Processing refunds in accordance with state and program policies, ensuring timely handling of requests
Preparing financial reports, generating deposits, and coordinating with other departments for accurate record-keeping
Engaging with the public to address complaints, explaining program policies, and collecting necessary data
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail
The capability to address sensitive financial discussions with empathy and respect
A great work ethic and integrity, with the ability to balance policy enforcement with compassion in exceptional circumstances
Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
