Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate will assist to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and cash/credit receipts and perform collection activities within identified goals. Support Sales Department to process Customer's purchase orders. Ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices. Ensure compliance with Company accounting and sales policies and proper application of US GAAP.

Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Job Duties:

- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting system.

- Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations.

- Manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process

- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances

- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and recording any inconsistencies to reconcile inaccuracies

- Prepaid and accrual accounting

- Following GAAP ensures financial information is consistently and accurately reported

- Preparing or reconciling financial statements following general accounting standards.

- Multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to priorities tasks in order to meet deadlines

- Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and consolidation

- Support sales department to accept purchase orders and create sales orders

- Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

- 3+ years bookkeeping experience essential (must)

- 3+ years AP & AR experience (must)

- 3+ years sales support or customer service

- Degree not required but strongly preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance.

- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel

- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus, but not required.

- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

- Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and employees

- Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms

- Willingness to learn

- Detail oriented but need to be able to visualizing big pictures.

- Ability to take initiative, self-starter

- Strong organizational and administrative ability

- Good problem-solving skills

- Self-motivated and strong work ethic.

- Ability to pass a personal background check and/or clearance at time of hire.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. (no sponsorship for this position)

Experience level: 3 years

Pay: DOE $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time
