We are a dynamic and growing, family-owned real estate and property management company, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients and tenants. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties and are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive accountant to join our team. We are based in Burlingame.

The position will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including property-level accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of accounts payable/receivable. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial records and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain general ledger and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tenant billing

Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow across properties

Track and report on property income, expenses, and budgets

Process rent collections and ensure proper allocation of payments

Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory filings as required

Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for each property

Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate expense tracking

Support external audits and tax preparation

Maintain organized records of leases, contracts, and financial documents

Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Buildium)

Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
