Our small, well-established publishing company is seeking an energetic and organized individual to lead our Accounting and Administrative areas. This position includes opportunities to participate in meetings regarding product reviews and marketing ideas.
The Drivers License Guide Company is a 10-person, single-location publisher with more than 40 years of reference publishing experience, both printed books and online reference sites. These B2B publications provide businesses and government agencies with detailed color images and text details that assist in verifying ID documents worldwide.
Responsibilities
Our Office Manager will have significant experience in a flexible, small to medium-sized office environment, providing Accounting and Administrative support. Specific areas include:
Overseeing the full sales and order-fulfillment process — managing incoming orders to outbound shipping and final payment receipts.
Managing QuickBooks functions, including routine Accounts Payable, Prepaid Assets, and Inventory; and learning our custom software for Sales, Accounts Receivable, and cash receipts.
Completing month-end reporting: financials; performing bank reconciliations; processing ACH receipts; Sales Tax filings to 25 states.
Compiling office payroll through ADP and all state reports as needed.
Handling basic HR functions, including onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee support.
Serving as the primary point of contact for vendors such as AT&T, Comcast, Pitney Bowes, IT.
Assisting during seasonal peak periods by helping staff process orders or prepare shipments for UPS, Priority Mail, or freight carriers.
Assisting with preparation of complex orders and special large customer needs.
Skills and Experience
Five years or more of Office Management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible in assisting others and strong customer service orientation.
Excellent phone interaction with subscribers, prospects, and vendors.
Committed work ethic; proficiency in MS Office; 10-key accuracy; tenacious as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
$120K to $140K, DOE
Bonuses, semi-annually
