For over 30 years, Strand Boyce O'Shaughnessy, CPAs, Inc. (SBO), a public accounting firm located in Pleasant Hill, CA, has provided tax, accounting and consulting services to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a motivated tax leader with 8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead tax engagements for high-income individuals and small to mid-size privately held businesses
Responsibilities:
Review and prepare entity and individual tax returns including corporate, partnership, multi-state and multi-entity returns
Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including complex tax research, planning and strategy
Train and supervise staff
Prepare tax correspondence for submission to the IRS and state tax agencies
Develop and cultivate professional client relationships
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA license or on track to obtaining
8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility
Extensive experience with various tax entities, tax preparation and general accounting
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, client service, leadership and technology skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (ProSystem fx Engagement and Lacerte proficiency is a plus)
Ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines and thrive working both independently and in a team-oriented environment with all levels of staff
This is an in office position.
