Our CPA firm near Oakland Airport is currently seeking a full-time experienced tax preparer / tax accountant / senior tax accountant to join our team. Please email your resume and cover letter with your salary requirements to jenny@skaccountancy.com.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for business, individual, and trust
- Analyze clients’ financial statements and adjust book for tax preparation
- Directly contact with clients, answer client questions, and maintain good client relationships
- Prepare estimated taxes for clients
- Respond to IRS and CA FTB notices for clients
- Represent clients in IRS and state tax audits
- Other tax related assignments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in tax, accounting, finance, or related degree is preferred
- Recent public accounting experience is a plus
- Licensed EA, CPA, or CPA candidate preferred
- Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and management
- Bookkeeping experience is a plus
- Experience with Lacerte or QuickBooks is a plus
- Tax research and compliance experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Deals effectively with deadlines as overtime will be required during the tax season
- Attention to detail
Our office is paperless and can work both onsite and remotely. Our salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range is $60,000 - $120,000.
