DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under supervision of the Chief Business Official, serve as the manager of the transportation, food service and facilities use programs as well as provide general support for the District.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Direct, plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the work functions of the transportation, facilities use and food service programs.
Transportation
-Manage the transportation program to provide safe and efficient transportation services to students, including direct supervision of all transportation staff
-Plan bus schedules for daily routes and issuance of student transportation passes
-Ensure the department remains in compliance with CHP regulations
-Manage relationship with partners: outside vendor, Marin Transit
-Oversee the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of school buses
Facilities Use
-Act as the District contact and coordinator for community users of all MCSD facilities, responding to all facility/field rental requests in a timely manner
-Coordinate community user groups, HSCs and other after hours school events through the use of District online platform
-Regularly monitor the conduct and safety of patrons involved with rentals that occur during evening, weekend, and vacation hours; and ensure adherence to all District health and safety regulations
Food Service
-Manage the food service program with all outside vendors, including coordination and training of the schools’ food service staff
-Maintain all nutrition program records for funding reimbursement and audit review
-Support the enrollment of student eligibility for Free and Reduced lunch and related services
-Make arrangements and perform duties in connections with bid preparation and maintains bid files
Business Office Support
-Process insurance and Workers Compensation claims and accident reports
-Support implementation of software to monitor absences, substitutes and additional duties
-Coordinate and complete mandated state compliance reports, for example students attendance reporting
-Receive and process routine forms, such as parcel assessment senior exemptions and developer fees
-Prepare and compose materials of a confidential nature, for example, letters, memos, legal forms, and contracts;
-Maintain or supervise the maintenance of important records;
-Follow-up with callers, emails from the community or in person visitors to the business office, and determine appropriate course of action;
-Attend Board meetings and participate in presenting reports as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school and two (2) years of college or university credits or six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in a program or office management role.

-May be required to be on-call and/or work flexible schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (in response to an emergency)
