Job SummarySupervises clinic operations, typically spanning multiple providers, clinics and / or practices. Subordinates include staff involved with professional operational functions. Oversight of administrative areas such as practice revenue management, billing systems and procedures, facilities and safety procedures, registration, new patient coordination, scheduling, medical records storage and maintenance, insurance authorizations. May also supervise patient support staff such as medical assistants or LVNs, in coordination with the nursing lead.Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, and the Administrative Director, the Practice Supervisor will work independently and have primary responsibility for the supervision of administrative/clerical staff. The Practice Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the operational, human resource, administrative and business functions of the back office staff in Cancer Services Solid Tumor Practices. The Practice Supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring all new Practice Coordinators under their supervision who are hired into these positions complete all required competencies and training within specified time frames. The Practice Supervisor must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with staff, patients and providers. A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy are necessary in dealing with faculty, staff and patients in a complex environment. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
