The Golf Club Associate is part of a dedicated private club staff providing extraordinary service to members and their guests. This position manages many operations within the Golf Shop and for the club in general. Responsibilities include tournament planning and execution, daily tee sheet management, arranging golf clinics and lessons, working the front desk, locker room management, and member assistance.

The Golf Club Associate exhibits a high level of personal and professional decorum, is personable, genuine, positive, and an exceptional communicator. This team leader has a hands-on approach, works closely with their colleagues, has strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills. This position requires weekend availability. Essential functions and responsibilities:

Member and guest interactions in the Golf Pro Shop including member services, retail sales, counter work, telephone and email responses

Organizes daily tee times

Assists with receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, and shop displays

Handles member merchandising orders

Assists in the administration and coordination of tournament play

Coordinate written correspondence, reporting, newsletters, and communications for the golf operation

Coordinate with the Food and Beverage Manager for all golf functions

Develop and oversee golf instruction and clinics for members

Oversee golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials

Oversee and enforce golf shop operations policies and procedures

Where applicable, work with the Membership Director in the promotion of new member leads, interaction with prospective members, and orientation of new members

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience working in upscale hospitality (member-based private club, high-end hotel/resort), golf or other athletic setting preferred.

Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations

Fundamental supervisory practices and principles

Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees

Intermediate computer skills including experience using golf tournament software, Trackman and member communications

Fluent oral and written English communication skills

Qualifications Preferred:

PGA Class A member or in program
