After-School Enrichment Teacher

Workshop Education is dedicated to helping children discover their unique strengths and find joy in learning through our dynamic after-school enrichment program. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a co-teacher for our classes, which cater to students in grades K-5.

At Workshop Education, we believe that every child has the potential to excel academically and socially. Our program is designed to nurture these qualities by providing a stimulating and supportive environment. As a co-teacher, you will play a crucial role in this mission by delivering engaging lessons, observing and interacting with students, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

You will have the opportunity to co-teach two classes each day: one focused on Study Skills and the other on Innovation. These classes are designed to equip students with essential academic and life skills while also fostering creativity and critical thinking. You will have access to our unique curriculum, which you can supplement with your own activities, allowing you to bring your creativity and teaching expertise to the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-Teaching: Lead two classes daily, one in Study Skills and one in Innovation.

Student Interaction: Engage with each child to foster social and academic growth.

Collaboration: Work effectively with a team to support the educational environment.

Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and conducive learning space.

Positive Discipline: Use positive discipline techniques to manage classroom behavior and promote a respectful and cooperative environment.

Individualized Support: Provide individualized support and attention to students as needed.

Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during after-school hours.

Required Skills:

Work Ethic: Proactive, responsible, and reliable.

Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing needs.

Motivation Development: Skill in building confidence and enthusiasm in children.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Time Management: Efficiently manage classroom activities and prioritize tasks.

Creativity and Practicality: Balance between innovative thinking and practical application.

Professionalism: Consistent professional behavior, including good judgment and integrity.

Child CPR/First Aid Certification: Certification in Child CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain it.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 1:50 PM - 6:00 PM

Closed on school holidays and during the summer when school is not in session.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
