Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Enrichment Teacher to join our team. As an Enrichment Teacher, you will play a crucial role in igniting the creativity and curiosity of young children. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and engage TK- 3rd graders in weekly art enrichment sessions in an after-school program. These sessions are designed to be both fun and educational, providing an opportunity for children to explore and express themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
Artistic Facilitation: Lead engaging art sessions that promote creative expression, sensory exploration, and hands-on artistic experiences, tailored to TK-3rd grade children.
Implement Curriculum: Follow age-appropriate, process-oriented art lesson plans created within the company's curriculum, allowing children to discover and learn through art.
Materials Management: Safely handle and organize art materials, ensuring a clean and organized art space, and responsible for replenishing supplies as needed from the company warehouse.
Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and fun environment that is inclusive and inviting for children.
Communication: Establish clear and positive communication with school staff, parents, and children, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate children's interest and connection to projects, providing feedback and observations to the company as needed.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training in process-art and teaching.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
-Experience working with school-aged children in an educational or art-related capacity.
-Strong passion for art and a keen understanding of child development.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
-Flexibility and adaptability to work with different schools and students.
-Compassion for children from varied economic and cultural backgrounds.
-Availability on at least 3 days per week during Tuesday-Friday afternoons from 12:00-3:30 pm
