DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEACHER
- Seeking 1 full time preschool teacher. Our hours of operation are 7 am to 5:30 pm; must be available to work a 9 hour day (with 1 hour being lunch) and a 40 hour work week.
- Have experience developing curriculum/class activities, lesson planning and managing a class.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with parents and provide positive, constructive feeback on their child's day/progress in the program.
- Energetic, positive, cheerful, nurturing, creative teacher who is able to multi-task.
- Flexible to the needs of the school, the classroom, students and coteachers.
- Team player able to work closely with other staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 12 Early Childhood Education units (or 9 ECE units and working toward more ECE units)
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a plus
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 years old
- Experience developing age-appropriate curriculum and activities for a group of up to 24 children (1:12 ratio)
- Must be able to work any schedule between 8 am and 5:30 pm (e.g., 8am-5pm or 8:30am-5:30pm)
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
