We are looking to fill the following 2 positions:
1. Primary (3 - 5 year) classroom Head Teacher:ÂResponsibilities include
Create a warm environment for the toddlers, define/implement curriculum;
Provide guidance and teaching to the children
Plan, prepare and maintain units of study lessons, and 'works' (mini-tasks),
Sings along during Circle Time and maintains high-energy during the day.
Maintain individual student record
Collaborative work with co-teachers in classroom design, curriculum development, and materials exploration.
Implement developmentally appropriate and best practices.
 ÂRequirements for this position are:
12 ECE units, including Infant and Toddler units
AMS or AMI Montessori training desired
Minimum of 1 year experience working with 2 - 3 year old children in a child development setting for Head Teacher position
CPR, first-aid skills and 15-hour Health and Safety training
Must be able to provide 3 references
Must have fingerprinting, health screening and TB test
Must be able to lift up to 30Âlas
2. Primary (3 - 5 year) classroom Assistant Teacher: Responsibilities include
Assist the head teacher with providing the children with a âprepared environmentâ
Keep the classroom clean and inviting
Assist with individual and/or group activities to stimulate growth of the children in social, emotional and academic areas
Supervise classroom as directed by the Lead Teacher
Assist in the supervision of the playground and lunchtime
Assist during snack time and in keeping the classroom clean
Prepare classroom activities and curriculum according to the Lead Teacherâs direction
Requirements for this position are:
12 ECE units
Must be able to provide references
Must have fingerprinting, health screening and TB test
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Working hours:
Full-time & Part-time
Full time - 8 hours schedule 9am - 6pm or 8:30 am - 5:30 pm or other
