Who we are: private school for high functioning kids who need personalized attention, creative teaching, excitement, loving communication with parents and firm boundaries.
Classroom: 1st/2nd grade combination class of kids with learning disabilities, very high functioning Autism, ADHD, seizure disorders, and 2 students who have behavioral concerns. We will train you, but you MUST be able to handle behaviors when they occur.
Who you are:
Great communicator with parents.
Love to teach reading-this is a big emphasis.
Can handle behaviors when they occur
Can love, comfort and give big boosts of self esteem.
Are creative and enthusiastic about finding a way for every student to learn.
Can lift 40lbs, go on long walks, and keep up with active kids.
Hours/Pay:
Monday-Thursday 8:30-3:15 and Friday early release at 1pm. Feels like a 3 day weekend.
No outside prep, meetings, or before/afterschool activities. All school events and prep take place during the school day.
Head Teacher- must have 3 years experience in SPED. Pay up $40 an hour DOE and education.
Assistant Teacher-must have 2 years experience in SPED. Pay up to $26 an hour DOE and education.
