Position Overview:
As our Music Enrichment Specialist, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire and cultivate a love for music in our students. Whether part-time or full-time, this role is pivotal in enriching our students' educational experience through dynamic and interactive music instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to various age groups, from toddlers to 6th graders.
Incorporate diverse musical genres and instruments to create a rich and varied music curriculum.
Utilize Montessori or Orff Music Technique methodologies to enhance the learning experience (familiarity with these methods is a plus).
Plan and organize school performances, assemblies, and other music-related events.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum.
For full-time candidates: Lead our aftercare program from 3-5 PM daily, providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students.
Qualifications:
A degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience teaching music to school-age children, with a knack for making learning fun and engaging.
Creative and innovative approach to music instruction.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A passion for fostering a love of music in young children.
Experience with Montessori or Orff Music Technique is highly desirable.
