Qualified Teachers Needed!
Looking for a qualified, (20-40 hours/week) Preschool Teacher to work in a licensed child care facility with children ages 2-5 years old. Position includes curriculum planning and implementation, basic care of young children, and interaction with parents. Must be able to work as a team and manage a group of children. We are looking for dependable, energetic, positive person with friendly personality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for children 2-5 in accordance with the academic philosophy of Tender Hearts Preschool; developing culturally appropriate, challenging and creative daily activities for preschoolers; supervising the children both indoors and outdoors at all times; building children's self-esteem and providing positive guidance, ensuring compliance with the program policies, department of social services and safety procedures, maintaining healthy partnership with parents & families. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements: Must have a minimum of 12 ECE units including core classes and experience teaching in the classroom; excellent communication skills; ability to work well in team teaching situation. In addition, one must be able to pass a background check/fingerprint clearance.
Position Hours: 8am-5pm and 8:30am-12:30pm M-F.
Compensation: Competitive salary depending upon experience and education. Vacation and sick leave provided after a successful 6 month introductory period.
