Hi! I run a small daycare from my home and am also expecting my 4th baby in January. I’m looking for a responsible, reliable caregiver for a hybrid role. This position involves a mix of tasks, including:
- Assisting with the new baby.
- Helping with light cleaning/tidying around the house, folding laundry, and some cooking.
- Stepping in to support the daycare as needed (currently have 5 kids w/ a full-time teacher).
- The role will begin as part-time, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as the baby grows and the Daycare's needs evolve. Eventually, you will work more closely with the daycare to assist the current teacher.
We’re seeking a female caregiver who is easy-going, organized, enjoys cooking, and will be a great fit for our family dynamic. We are located near the Oakland zoo in a quiet residential area. You can learn more about us and our daycare at www.oakknollexplorers.com.
Experience & Responsibilities:

- Prioritizing children’s safety and well-being.
- Preparing meals, tidying, and cleaning common areas.
- Assisting with hygiene needs and diaper changes.
- Assisting in DayCare.
Requirements:
- LiveScan background check and TB test (required by the state to work in a DayCare).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Hiring Process:
- Initial FaceTime interview.
- In-person trial period.
Compensation:
- $18–$28/hour, based on experience.
