Ala Costa's Adult Programs is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving intellectually and developmentally disabled adults over the age of 18. Our programs empower adults with developmental disabilities to self-determine the course of their lives. Welcome to Ala Costa’s TDS Program:

Tailored Day Services (TDS) offer personalized 1:1 online or community-based support designed to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual. Our TDS program supports four main areas: Post-Secondary Education, Career Support, Transportation Education, and Personal Development.

Participants begin their journey with a self-discovery process, ensuring they have significant agency in setting their goals. Ala Costa is committed to honoring the goals that participants create themselves, providing assistance in refining and achieving them.

Position: Tailored Day Service (TDS) Teacher

Hours:

Flexible part-time hours between 8 AM - 2 PM, Monday to Friday, as agreed upon with participants.

Maximum hours per day is 4, with a maximum of five days per week, Monday through Friday. This is a flexible position where TDS teachers can decide what hours work best for them and their participants within our service hours of 8 AM - 2 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to adult participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Assist participants in achieving personal goals, including obtaining employment, using public transit independently, making friends, and joining social clubs in community-based settings.

Ensure that the support provided aligns with the individual's self-determined goals and preferences.

Adapt teaching methods to the unique needs of each participant.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay: $19.50 per hour
