I am a sole proprietor architect, looking for an experienced freelance Drafter for a long-term collaboration. The position is completely remote, although Pacific Time Zone is preferred. The work is in high end custom residential homes, remodels, and additions, primarily within the state of California.
This is a 1099 consultant position, paid by the hour, on a monthly basis. Varying hours per month, typically ranging between 10-30 hours per month of work. With the potential for more hours for a skilled drafter with a higher level of responsibility.
Candidate Requirements:
5 years or more experience in architectural drafting
Experience in residential architecture, particularly in California would be a bonus.
Proficiency in AutoCADLT for two-dimensional drafting and Sketchup Pro. Must have your own professional license in each, on your own computer
Comfortable with custom CAD settings and use of paperspace
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, as well as a strong understanding of layout, drawing hierarchy, and information presentation.
Pride in doing a thorough job with minimal errors and missed tasks
Reliable time management and good communication
The drafter shall be expected to record their hours per project and shall be paid on a monthly basis for the work completed. Only candidates with a United States mailing address and tax ID will be considered.
